Breakfast

Breakfast is such a special meal – after a run on the beach and wee yog in the rising sun and a coffee at Santana’s neighbour of Bob Marley’s it’s time for the hotel ’s complimentary morning buffet ... real Indian food to start the day ...



Check out the chutney choices whose English labelling nonetheless illustrates two different Tamil script influences. These chutneys will garnish from left to right top to bottom .



vadai – deep fried crunchy lentil fritters – we had these served in curd in Pondichéri

sambar – vegetable stew (soup) with tamarind and toover dal

idlly (idli, idlli) – a steamed batter of fermented black lentils and rice

pongal – the daily manifestation of the great grain ..
