there is alot of sand on Agonda Beach here in southern Goa. 2km by a coupla 100 metres at low tide ... plus backyards full of it.
i appreciate the cows ... and the cowpie presentations in the sant – easy to spot and avoid when one is in a hurry but there for one’s viewing pleasure if time permits. like all the beaches cohabitants – they settle in for the hour or the day and make their wee impression.
i like to follow the tide lines – the twice daily high water mark is a rough guideline for easy walking and finding the express lane when one wants to get to the other end of the beach expeditiously. the animal tracks – whether or not they end at an animal – are a curious wandering reflecting the generally random nature of life in the hot sun ... the crab holes – fill them in and wonder where the crabs go ...
sand makes its way off the beach as well. coconut half shells filled with sand make excellent ashtrays and incense holders.
